The Interdisciplinary team at Broomall is committed to maximizing functional capabilities of
each patient, promoting each person’s highest practical level of
independence. For long-term care patients at Broomall, the goal is to help residents get back on their
feet and able to perform as many activities of daily living as soon as
possible. The goal of our clinical and rehabilitation services is to offer improved mobility,
relief from pain and recovery from debilitating illness and injuries.

Short-Term Rehabilitation Philosophy
The rehabilitation team at Broomall
is committed to maximizing functional
capabilities of each patient, promoting each person’s highest practical
level of independence. For short-term rehabilitation patients at
Broomall the goal is to help them
return home, or get “back on their feet”, able to perform as many
activities of daily living as soon as possible.

Primary Care Physician (PCP)
The primary person responsible for patient care is the primary
care physician (PCP). The PCP is responsible for ordering necessary
tests, determining diagnoses and appropriate treatment(s), prescribing
medication and determining when patients are ready for discharge.
Choosing a PCP is among the most important health care decisions a
person must make.
